Bombo Radyo Butuan, also known as DXBR-AM 981 kHz is an AM radio station of the Consolidated Broadcasting System, Inc. under Bombo Radyo Philippines located in Butuan City, now operates for more than 19 years since its establishment on February 14, 1985.

The station’s studio and transmitter are located at Bombo Radyo Broadcast Center, in Km. 3 Arujville Subdivision, Libertad, Butuan City, Philippines.

It operates from 4:00 AM until 8:30 PM with recorded programs heard over the live streaming of Bombo Radyo website.

Bombo Radyo Butuan provides mixture of news, public service, drama and music, public service programs and it is the most popular local station in the areas where its signal can reach for the audience of Butuan City, the whole provinces of Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte and Surigao del Sur in Caraga Region and through the whole world via www.bomboradyo.com.

Bombo Radyo Butuan maintains its dominance in radio broadcasting as leading and number one AM station in Butuan and Caraga as proven in the latest Kantar Media and Radio Research Council (RRC) surveys by delivering the right, fast, first news, also discussing and analysing issues both local and national in no bias presentation and commentary on radio.

In the midweek of November 2012, Bombo Butuan replaces its old transmitter expanding its coverage to 15,000 watts.
